Genevieve joined the bar in 2015. Prior to that she has:
· been a state prosecutor at the DPP, including appellate work in the Supreme Court, trials in Children’s Court and administrative review as well as appearing as counsel in adult courts;
· worked in criminal law in both private practice and at Legal Aid WA, including all levels of trials, appeals, coronial enquiries and restraining orders;
· worked in private practice in building and construction, disciplinary and civil penalty matters and insurance litigation;
· worked as in-house counsel at the Builders Registration Board.
She has taught Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law and the Laws of Evidence at university level since 1998. Genevieve is currently the President of Criminal Lawyers Association of WA, has been Vice President of Women Lawyers WA and is completing her masters in Law Policy and Government at the University of Western Australia.
