Before joining the bar in 2019, Hayley spent 13 years in commercial and professional negligence litigation in private practice at a top tier firm in Perth. She specialised for many years in the defence of professional negligence claims against health practitioners, and in the conduct of disciplinary proceedings brought by regulatory bodies.
Hayley has also been involved in the conduct of large-scale general commercial litigation disputes. In addition to her litigation practice, Hayley advises on pro-bono matters, and has experience working in regional community legal resource centres in partnership with her former firm.
Since joining the bar, Hayley has been briefed across a wide variety of general commercial disputes, personal injury and professional negligence claims, including from both the healthcare and legal sector. Hayley accepts briefs across all jurisdictions, and currently holds briefs in the District and Supreme Courts, the Coroner’s Court, and the State Administrative Tribunal.
