Rodney Carey
Rod has a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University (2012). In his final year, he was awarded the AILA Prize in Insurance Law and the Maire Corcoran Prize in Criminology. Before commencing practice at Central Law Chambers, Rod was a paralegal for 22 years and then a senior lawyer for another 10 years. Over that time, he worked for well-known WA firms Parker & Parker, Talbot & Olivier & SRB Legal. He also worked for a sole practitioner for 7 years. He has been recognised by his peers as a leading Perth CTP lawyer, (as published in the Doyle’s Guide).
After graduating, Rod worked as a guest lecturer at Murdoch University, covering Legal Costs, Assessment of Damages, and CTP Insurance. He has also been a guest lecturer at Central TAFE, teaching Occupational Safety and Health Law to building students. Throughout his career, Rod has been proud to be known as an evidence-based thinker and practitioner.
