Leon Firios
Leon has experience in a broad range of commercial disputes, with that experience in both litigation and arbitration proceedings. His practice focuses on energy and resources, construction, and insolvency matters. His recent experience includes disputes concerning gas supply agreements and gas pricing, commodity pricing, electricity supply, mining, and construction projects, as well as general contractual disputes. He also has experience in investor-state arbitration.
Before joining the bar, Leon worked for several years as an arbitration counsel at the specialist international arbitration firm Three Crowns LLP in Paris. Leon was previously a lawyer at Blake Dawson (Ashurst), and Associate to the Hon Justice Kenneth Martin at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
Leon holds an LLB (Hons) and BCom from the University of Western Australia, and an LLM from Harvard Law School (as a Frank Knox Memorial Fellow). He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2015.
