Grahame Young
Grahame’s major practice areas come together when advising high net worth individuals or family or corporate groups as to structuring or restructuring, whether for greater efficiency, asset protection, generational succession, the introduction of new equity or for any other reason.
The taxation advice centres on the transactinal taxes of stamp duty, capital gains and income tax and GST. I edit Duties Legislation Western Australia and have prepared many papers for seminars or publication by the Law Society, Taxation institute and the accounting bodies on a wide range of topics.
Grahame has had many years experience in all aspects of trusts and estate administration and have a particular interest in the impact of equity in commercial transactions.
Grahame’s corporate and commercial advice is informed by the practical experience of acting as a director of substantial listed and private companies.
Although Grahame does not accept instructions in contested fact rich matters, he does appear as counsel before the superior courts and SAT in a wide range of matters including tax appeals, trustee applications and corporations matters such as schemes of arrangement and applications for remedial orders.
