Róisín Keating
Róisín is a passionate criminal defence Barrister who graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame in 2016. Since being admitted to practice in Western Australia in 2017, she has worked for a number of reputable and specialised law firms within Western Australia, commencing her career as a clerk to one of Western Australia’s most notable Kings Counsel.
Róisín accepts instruction in the areas of Criminal Law (including appeals) and Restraining Orders. She is currently on all Legal Aid WA Criminal Law panels, other than Murder and Appeals. As well as her passion for criminal defence, Róisín has extensive experience appearing as counsel in a number of complex and sensitive matters, including appearing in the State Administrative Tribunal, Magistrate’s Court, Children’s Court, District Court and Supreme Court. She appears regularly as counsel in both the Perth Metropolitan Area and regional Western Australia. She has acted in matters ranging from simple traffic offences to serious violent and sexual offences and has also assisted with Murder matters. In 2021 the Criminal Lawyers’ Association of WA presented her with the Hodge Award.
