Guru Kugananthan
Guru accepts briefs in various areas of commercial law, administrative law, and in regulatory matters.
Before joining the Bar, Guru practiced as a solicitor in Melbourne and Perth in matters involving competition and trade practices law, corporations law, contract law, judicial review and class actions.
More recently, he was a Senior Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright Australia where he helped conduct litigation on behalf of companies, and Commonwealth regulators and government agencies in these areas of law.
Guru has also worked as a lawyer in commercial litigation at Allens where he assisted with high-value contract disputes and insolvency matters. He was also the associate to the Hon. John Gilmour QC at the Federal Court of Australia.
Guru holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and Bachelor of Economics from The University of Western Australia, and a Master of Laws with Distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he focused on competition law.
