Michael Sims SC

Michael Sims has a broad commercial litigation practice with emphasis on complex matters in the areas of corporate insolvency and restructuring, corporations law, directors’ and officers’ liability, construction and projects, and equity.

Before being called to the independent bar, Michael was a partner at chew+matthews, leading the firm’s commercial litigation practice, and a solicitor at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Michael served for ten years as a member of the Western Australia Police.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Australia.
