Ann Spencer
Ann Spencer practices primarily in commercial litigation and has a broad range of experience across contractual disputes, property disputes, corporate insolvency, trust disputes and equitable claims. She also has experience in estates litigation, including claims under the Family Provision Act and advice in respect of contested probate applications. In the state criminal sphere she has experience in white collar crime. She also has experience in investigations conducted by ASIC.
She has acted for corporate entities, individuals, incorporated associations, not-for profit organisations, local governments and state government departments.
Ann is analytical, approachable and hard-working, and is always pragmatic. She prepares clear and thorough written advice and has appeared as counsel in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Federal Court and Warden’s Court. She also has trial experience as counsel and has aided clients through the process of urgent and protracted litigation.
Prior to coming to the independent bar, Ann was a Senior Associate in Kott Gunning’s commercial dispute resolution team.
