Sharon Kermath
Sharon is a highly experienced and busy Barrister for 20 years practicing principally in Children’s Law, Civil, Criminal Law, Family Violence, and Tribunal work. She advises and appears on behalf of thousands of clients throughout Victoria and Australia in all jurisdictions including the Magistrates’ Court, Children’s Court, County Court, Supreme Court, Civil and Administrative Tribunals and Boards. Sharon has broad experience across many areas of legal practice, including criminal law, family violence, intervention order proceedings, children’s court proceedings, bail applications, committals, county court pleas, mediations, tribunal hearings and diversions. She has considerable experience in the management of her large caseloads and appears in court on a daily basis and maintains the best representation results due to her exceptional work ethic.
Sharon also accepts briefs with the Office of Public Prosecutions in a range of indictable cases, bail application, County Court Appeals, pleas, diversions, committals, committal mentions, contested hearings, direction hearings, sentence and mentions. Sharon works well under pressure whether it is for defence or prosecutions and prepares submissions in short notice and obtains outstanding results.
Sharon is the finalist of the Barrister of the Year in the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards in 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019.
