Verity Long-Droppert

Verity specialises in commercial litigation and administrative law.

Since being called to the Bar, Verity has gained a breadth of experience, most recently as Counsel Assisting the Royal Commission into the Perth Casino. She has advised and appeared in insolvency, contract and competition law matters. As a solicitor, Verity practised in commercial litigation and acted for clients in the mining and construction industries in large scale, complex litigation.

Verity is a confident advocate and has appeared as sole counsel in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Federal Court and Administrative Tribunals. Verity has represented clients and advised in relation to administrative law matters including judicial review, merits review and an appellate level dispute regarding the exercise of administrative powers.

Verity is passionate about human rights. She is the Membership Enquiries Officer of Pride in Law WA and a former State convenor of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights. She also sits on the Heritage Committee of the Baseball WA Board.
