Jennifer Negus
Jennifer Negus has a practice that includes commercial and corporate disputes, regulatory and disciplinary matters, inquiries and public prosecutions including prosecution and defence of Commonwealth and State criminal offences and misconduct.
In addition to her practice in the civil jurisdiction, as a former State Prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Western Australia, Jennifer is experienced in all forms of hearing including trial and appeal in the courts of criminal jurisdiction as junior and lead Counsel, as well as on secondment to the WA Police Prosecuting Division. Her experience also includes extraditions, civil proceeds of crime and advice to the Corruption and Crime Commission of Western Australia.
Jennifer is a member of the external brief out counsel panel for both of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for Western Australia.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University and a Master of Laws from the University of Western Australia, is published in the fields of constitutional law, criminal law and evidence, and lectures in criminal law and forensic advocacy at Curtin Law School.
