James O'Hara
James O’Hara practices in all aspects of commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
James has a broad practice with particular experience in the conduct of high value commercial disputes in superior courts across Australia. He has acted for clients in a variety of industries including in disputes concerning energy and resources, product liability, class actions, insolvency, trusts and insurance. He has appeared in various courts and tribunals.
Prior to joining the Bar, James was a Senior Associate in the disputes team at Herbert Smith Freehills. He also worked in the commercial litigation team of Minter Ellison. He previously served as the Associate to the Hon. Justice Hall in the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He has tutored in property law and taxation law.
James holds a Master of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
